Unlike most other energy advisors, we create a detailed 3D model of your house during the evaluation, rather than a rough 2D hand sketch. This ensures that the measurements and wall composites are accurately captured. Our attention to detail ensures your home receives an accurate EnerGuide rating, and is essential for additional services like a heat load calculation.
While using a thermal imaging camera, we’ll conduct a full walk-through of the house with you to show where the air leakage locations are, where the insulation could be missing or compromised, and where the heat is escaping.
To enhance our efficiency, we leverage advanced software to streamline mundane tasks such as calculating measurement takeoffs, data entry, and scheduling. This reduces errors and allows us to focus more on analyzing results and finding the best solutions for your home.
We prioritize quality over quantity and value our reputation. Our goal is to provide you with the best unbiased advice, ensuring that you feel fully supported throughout the process. We do this to make our services affordable because we genuinely care about the positive impact they have. Bio:
Sean completed an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management from York University and a Renewable Energies Technician Technical Diploma from Niagara College before working as a solar technician. After traveling domestically and internationally to install and repair solar photovoltaic systems, he moved to Victoria and was hired as a CleanBC Energy Coach by City Green Solutions. His role transitioned to EnerGuide Rating System Technical Support, and he soon became a Registered Energy Advisor and Quality Assurance Specialist.
Leveraging his strong understanding of the provincial rebate program and the EnerGuide Rating System he launched Green Connect Energy Consulting in 2021 with the goal of providing homeowners and builders exemplary service to advance the energy-efficiency of their homes.

The EnerGuide Rating System is a widely recognized nationwide initiative created by Natural Resources Canada to evaluate the energy performance of homes.
Designed with the following goals in mind, the system:
- Empowers Canadian homeowners, builders, and industry professionals with the knowledge needed to make informed, energy-conscious decisions about their homes.
- Provides clear and accessible energy performance data to support decisions on designing, building, purchasing, renovating, and operating energy-efficient homes.
- Drives improvements in energy efficiency within both new and existing low-rise housing sectors, encouraging homeowners and builders to upgrade, renovate, or construct homes that are more cost-effective, comfortable, and environmentally responsible. This leads to lower energy bills, enhanced comfort, and a reduced carbon footprint for homes throughout Canada.

The Name
The name “Green Connect” was chosen to reflect our focus on connecting homeowners and builders with sustainable, energy-saving strategies that improve their homes. “Green” represents our commitment to eco-friendly practices. Some of these practices include being 100% paper-free, and all our equipment uses rechargeable batteries. While “Connect” highlights our role in guiding clients through the process, helping them make informed decisions to optimize their home’s energy use, which in turn lowers carbon emissions and builds a sustainable future. Energy consulting is what we do best!
The Logo
Every trusted company has a logo with meaning, and ours is no exception. While it might be clear that the “G” stands for Green and the “C” for Connect, the deeper symbolism is found in the design itself. The letters are framed within the outline of a three-dimensional box, representing a house. All the lines are interconnected, symbolizing a tightly sealed building envelope, free of air leakage. The different shades of green create arrows pointing up and down, reflecting our commitment to lower your utility bills and carbon footprint, while also increasing your home’s comfort and value. The boxy structure is complemented by the geometric font, further reflecting the shape of a home. Every colour was carefully selected to align with our name and brand. The rich forest green evokes nature, emphasizing our dedication to sustainability, while the vibrant jade green represents wisdom, serenity, and harmony —the qualities we aim to foster in our relationships with homeowners and builders.
