Extra Square Footage Fee
Homes larger than 3,000 square feet (sq. ft.) incur extra charges to account for the additional time required to gather data on the extra building components.
The floor area of an unfinished basement counts towards the square footage of the home; however, the floor area of a garage and crawl space does not.
Fee: $78.75 ($75 + GST) per 500 sq. ft. increments

Extra Blower Door Test Fee
Homes with multiple zones require a blower door test for each zone. A “zone” refers to an area of the house that can only be accessed through an exterior entrance, without an interior door connecting it to the rest of the home.
For example, if a basement or basement suite can only be accessed from outside, it is considered a separate zone. However, if there is an interior door that connects the basement or suite to the main part of the house, then it is classified as one zone.

Change in Geometry Fee
This fee applies if there is an increase or decrease in the interior volume or floor area (square footage) between your pre- and post-retrofit evaluations.
Fee: $78.75 ($75 + GST) per 300 sq. ft. increments of floor area change, or per 5,000 ft³ increments of volume change if the square footage stays the same.

Evaluation Take-Over
This fee applies if the pre-retrofit EnerGuide home evaluation wasn’t completed by Green Connect.
Fee: $157.50 ($150 + GST).
Heat Load Calculation Summary Form
This fee applies for the completion of the Home Renovation Rebate Program Heat Load Calculation Summary Form.
Fee: $26.25 ($25 + GST).
Additional Heat Pump Comparison Fee
This fee applies if additional heat pump options are added to the comparison report beyond the initial four. A “heat pump option” is defined as one AHRI number.
Fee: $10.50 ($10 + GST) per AHRI number.
Late Cancellation Fee
A cancellation fee will be charged if notice is not provided at least 24 hours in advance. This fee also applies in the following situations:
- The Energy Advisor arrives at the house, but no one answers the door within 15 minutes of the scheduled time.
- The house is not in a suitable condition for the evaluation (for example, if the building envelope is not intact).
- Safety hazards prevent the evaluation from being completed (for instance, if a wood fire was burning in the fireplace within the last 24 hours).
This fee does not apply if vermiculite or asbestos prevents the blower door test from being conducted, or when cancellations are made with at least 24 hours’ notice.
